Bourne House

A luxurious holiday home near the Solent and New Forest

Bourne House is situated in a quiet residential area of Lymington, a picturesque town on the Solent at the edge of the New Forest.

As one of England's major yachting centres, Lymington has two large marinas. Both are within a few minutes walk of Bourne House, as is the public launching slipway. There's also an open-air salt-water swimming pool - the largest on the south coast. Sailing tuition and deep sea fishing trips are also easily arranged.

Not far from the house is the start of the Solent Way footpath, ideal for a peaceful stroll through the coastal saltmarshes. These include bird sanctuaries where a variety of wildfowl can usually be spotted. Also visible are the magnificent white cliffs of the Isle of Wight just half an hour across the Solent estuary by regular ferry from Lymington.

There are excellent shopping facilities in Lymington, including three supermarkets and a lively open-air market every Saturday. The High Street shops are a ten-minute walk from Bourne House.

Lymington is well supplied with restaurants, as well as take-aways from fish'n'chips to Indian and Chinese. Five welcoming pubs which also serve food are within easy strolling distance of the house.

If you want peace and quiet, there is an attractive patio in the rear garden, with table, chairs and a sun shade, and an outside light for evening.
